One teacher, one reformer, and the whole hour on you. Private sessions at Isla are for the people a group class does not quite fit: a first-timer who would rather learn the machine alone, a back that needs watching, a pregnancy past twelve weeks, a runner with six weeks to a race, or two friends who want an hour together.

What happens in the hour

It starts with a conversation: what hurts, what you do all day, what you want to be able to do. Then the teacher sets the springs for your body rather than for a room of ten, and every repetition gets a pair of eyes on it. Nothing is rushed to keep up with a class, and nothing is skipped because the person next to you found it easy. Most people leave a first private session knowing exactly which group classes to book next, and why.

Price

A private session is ฿2,500 for the hour, on one reformer, and the price is the same for one person or two sharing it. It does not expire. Group classes, packs and the intro offer are on the price list; the guide to reformer pilates in Koh Samui covers what a group class is like.

How to book

  1. Buy the private session on the price list — card or PromptPay online, or at the desk.
  2. Message the studio with the days and times that suit you. Private sessions run around the group timetable, so they are arranged with the teacher.
  3. Arrive ten minutes early with grip socks (sold at the desk). That is all you need.

Questions

How much is a private pilates session in Koh Samui?
At Isla a private 1-on-1 reformer session is ฿2,500 for the hour. Buy it online or at the desk, then choose a time with the studio.
Who are private sessions for?
Complete beginners who would rather learn the reformer one-to-one first; anyone working around an injury or a bad back; athletes and runners in a training block; and two people who want a session together — the price is per session, not per person.
Can I do private pilates while pregnant in Koh Samui?
Yes — it is what the studio recommends from about 12 weeks. Up to 11–12 weeks a group class is fine if you feel well and tell the teacher; after that, a private session lets the teacher rebuild every exercise around your stage: less time flat on your back, no crunch-style curls, springs set for you. Ask your doctor or midwife first.
Can I do a private session as a couple or with a friend?
Yes. A private session is one teacher and one reformer per person, and two people can share the hour. Ask when you book.
How do I book a private session?
Buy the private session on the price list, then message the studio on WhatsApp with the days and times that suit you — private sessions run outside the group timetable, so they are arranged with the teacher rather than booked off the schedule.
Do I need experience?
No. A private session is the gentlest possible start: the teacher sets every spring, watches every rep, and builds the hour around what your body is doing that day.
